Hunter-gatherers resilience project is a 5 year research programme funded by the Leverhulme Trust (1.75 million pounds). Resilience in leaded by Dr Andrea Migliano (UCL, Anthropology) in collaboration with Dr Jerome Lewis (UCL, Anthropology), Prof. Ruth Mace (UCL, Anthropology) and Prof. Mark Thomas (UCL, GEE). Resilience is a cross-disciplinary group, using behavioural ecology, life history theory, modelling, genetics, social anthropology and ethnomusicology, we are a team of 20 researchers including postdoctoral researchers and PhD students, working in with different hunter-gatherer tribes around the word (Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Congo) interested in understanding the current pressures and points of resilience of these populations, and the important adaptations for hunter-gatherers’ survival.
